See their nine page summary ($11.50) to the Township’s 98 page complaint. Although I have not chosen to pay $98 for the township complaint; the Birch Grove summary and response summarizes the case as it stands. As a layman I will resist the strong urge to make editorial comment. See the document below. Birch Grove is finally tyring to rush Special land-use approval at Planning Commission 6/1 after not being ready in Feb, March, April, May.
David Mackley served on the Parks and Recreation Commmission for 33 years ending in 2016. He was chairperson for most of that time. There will be an open-house 2-4 at Cranberry Lake Park with a service at 3:30. Mrs. Bonnie Mackley invites all to attend.
Sentinel Readers:
There will be no 5/30/2021 weekly report. There is little to report.
I will go to a monthly report for the summer due to my personal schedule and only one Board meeting per month. This past week the only public body meeting was the 5/25 Board meeting. A brief synopsis is below. I’ll likely give more background on each of these items in the beginning of July Monthly Report after the draft minutes come out.

Sentinel Readers,
Surprisingly, to me anyway, Birch Grove Academy is scheduled to appear at the on-line Planning Commission meeting, Tuesday, June 1 to pursue the Special Land Use approval needed to build their school at 2878 Rochester Road.
They have provided a long letter detailing how they feel they meet the zoning ordinance requirements. See their letter in the meeting packet here staring on pages 6-14 https://ecode360.com/documents/OA3183/public/604203380.pdf.
See instructions for attending on the first page (agenda). Sometimes the link does not work. If so, go to go-to-meeting and enter the code or call in on the number provided on the agenda.
Birch Grove has continued construction activities without approval and in spite of a STOP WORK order from our Building Department. See our previous articles in these weekly reports at:
